William Pell, His wife Anna and daughters Anna (also listed as Annos and Alise) Emeline (also known as Emily) Sally,Caroline and brothers William and James lived in Fabius township in 1850 and at the same time, William Gipson along with his wife Sarah, sons, Fletcher, Hirem, John, James and Thomas moved to the area. James Gipson married Anna Pell on Novemeber 17, 1853. Thomas Gipson married Emeline Pell on Feb 17, 1859 in Scotland County. The mother Anna Pell married to William died April 1, 1877 and is buried in Fabius Cemetery. I have photos of this gravesite. As I was there in September is last year. She 85 years old. She was older then William who was born in 1800. William remarried on Dec 28, 1876 (which is wrong should be 1877 to Martha J. Reed. He died shortly after and is buried in Fabius Cemetery. Fletcher, William, John moved to Liberty Township where John had bought land. I have copies from Lancaster COunty where I copied from their records the land deeds on John's and William Pell's property. I have just received information on Hiram's property. William Gipson moved alot coming from Tennessee, Macon and Jackson Counties. He was born in Va. Which I think is now NE Tennessee. I will confirm this in the summer as I am traveling back to Missouri and Tennessee. There is also an Alfred Gipson from Mercer County, Ky involved here somehow. The Pell's son James moved there several times and had 2 or 3 children born there. I believe that was Williams brother. My grandfather always told us that the name of Archelus was a family name back then. I have an Archelus and Sarah Gipson in Tennessee with sons named William and Alfred. I am still working on this. All information that I have confirmed is available to anyone who asks.
