My husband is descended from Francois, the first Peloquin who came from France through his son Felix, hence the dit name of Felix. Here's the address for the Rootsweb.com pages for Richelieu County, Quebec, where the Peloquins lived in the Sorel area. (I'd put it in as a link, but it doesn't seem to want to "take")
There's a lot of great interest about the area, but the best is the marriage list for Sorel.Click on "genealogy" on the line of choices, and on that page you'll see a line concerning this marriage list.....click on that, and you'll get an index with many names.Click on Peloquin, and you'll get another list, with all the Peloquins and their spouses. The spouses are listed alphabetically, so just scroll down until you find a Pierre married to Rosalie Freniers, and click on that line. You will then have their marriage information, almost always their parents' names, and their children's spouses names as well. You can click on the parents' names to get further information on them, and it will carry you all the way back to France! Whoever did this list has done a wonderful thing for researchers!Have fun with it, all of you.....and welcome to some more of my husband's distant cousins!!
