If you have not already discovered your Pendarvis connections to SC, please reply.I believe that your Nancy A. Pendarvis in 1880 census was Nancy Ann Hope, wife of William Pendarvis in Marion County, Florida.William was the son of William Pendarvis, Sr., and that this William was the son of Thomas Pendarvis and unknown Hughes out of Colleton District, SC.
I am interested in a brother of William, Sr., James Joseph Pendarvis, born 1797 in St. Georges Parish, Colleton District, SC, who married Keziah Tucker.James Joseph Pendarvis and Keziah Tucker Pendarvis had a daughter, Susan Catherine Pendarvis who married Daniel David Vastine Strobel also of St. Georges Parish, SC, just before 1850. This family settled in Newnansville, Alachua County,Florida.I am related to the Strobels of St. Georges Parish, SC.
I also believe that Nancy Ann Hope remarried on August 9, 1885 to William Garris in Marion County, Florida.Nancy was age about 49 when she remarried to Mr. Garris.
Another researcher shows Nancy as 'nee' Pendarvis, but I believe that she was the widow Pendarvis.Mr. Garris died before 1900 according to this other research.
