I would be honored to count among my ancestors Parthenia, mother of the Pendarvis line, but am confused about how and where she fits in. Have not been able to find a simple family tree (sorry I'm very visual oriented) to see how it works.
I am descended from Elizabeth Pendarvis (1755-1804), who married Josiah Bryan (1746-1774). My mother's maiden name is Bryan.
According to a historian hired by my (racist) grandfather in the 1960s, Elizabeth was the daughter of Josiah Pendarvis (1722-1787) and Mary Bedon. This Josiah is the son of John Pendarvis (1673-1723) and Hannah Keyes. John is the son of Joseph Pendarvis (1645-1694) the immigrant and Elizabeth Stonhall? Humphries?
Am I missing the Parthenia generation somewhere? Was this a deliberate oversight on the part of the researcher?
