Ralph Edward 'Bud' Penley, 50, of Bristol, TN, went to be
with the Lord Thursday, August 20, 2009, at Johnson City
Medical Center, Johnson City, Washington Co TN, after a
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was employed at
Food City in Blountville, TN, in maintenance.
He was of the Baptist faith. He loved children, Nascar,
and fishing, and loved taking rides through the country.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pat Thomas Penley
and Pauline Hite Penley. Also preceding him was a brother,
Scott Dean Penley, in 1997.
Survivors include his fiance, Susan Davison of Bristol,
TN; brothers, Pat Penley Jr. and wife Becky, Frank Penley
and wife Nannie, Micheal Penley and wife Connie, Billy Ray
Penley, and Bobby Lee Penley, all of Bristol; sisters,
Dorothy Balthis and husband Tom, Sue Penley, and Donna
Penley, all of Blountville, TN; several nieces, nephews
and cousins; and one special niece, Angie Faidley of
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.,
Monday, August 24, 2009, at Tri-Cities Funeral Home, with
funeral services being conducted at 7 p.m. in the Funeral
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday,
August 25, 2009, at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens in
Blountville, TN. Honorary pallbearers will be Willie
Mallory, Bruce Wells, Jeff Steele, Ernest Haynes, Louie
Faidley, Stevie Mallory, Wes Steele, and Co-workers at
Food City in Blountville, TN.
