Looked at my notes again and realized that a Mabel, b. July 1884, and William b. 1885 were also step-children living with James Clohessy.
As to whether we're related- I certainly hope so- but the records for poor Irish Catholics seem to be very rare, so it may take a lot of research.
Yes, Louth and Meath are where the Pentonys seem to come from, but I have no idea where my family came from.The Pentonys I know of seem to be rather aloof- or maybe just shy.
