Harold-- I just got off the phone with Dad and believe that I can confirm some information.C.C. Pepple was Auglaize County Treasurer in the 1880's, and his son, A.O. Pepple, was Auglaize County Treasurer in 1894, and his signatures and letterhead appeared in the time capsule which had been installed in the Courthouse when it was built in 1894, opened in 1994 ceremonies celebrating the Centennial of the Courthouse in Wapakoneta.
C.C. Pepple is buried in Walnut Hill cemetery in Wayne Township, as is John Pepple his son, as is another John Pepple who was C.C.'s brother.Their father, Billie Pepple, is also buried there.I think that Billie's wife is also buried there, and I think that her name may have been Rebecca.
I will get dates of death off of their stones, and add to this information.I think that C.C. was born around 1834.C.C. was President of a bank in Waynesfield, and was a farmer in Wayne Township, Auglaize County.
When I get the dates at Walnut Hill (next to my parents' farm) I will get back with you.
