Information on ancestors of John W. Persall Sr.

I am looking for information on my great grandfather, John W. Persall, born about 1806 in New York State.He died November 21, 1874 in Newton County, GA.His wife was Elizabeth Stewart.I would like info on John's father and mother and grandparents if possible.Also, would like to know the origin of their country.It could possibly be Ireland.
