This is my elusive family. They continue to hide behind a tree and I hope one day they will peak out, so I can find some kind of lineage of the family.HELP, HELP.
Still looking for information on Emily Jane Pettit, she was the daughter of Walker and Keziah Pettit they married in Virginia about 1826 or 1827.Emily married William T. Trammell late 1840's in an unknown location. They moved to Shelby County Texas and were listed in the 1850 census. They lived close to Emily's parents according to the census. They had the following children:
Martha (born about 1848), she might have married a Brewer.
Samuel (born about 1850) married Ozella Mickelberry Trammell Perminter and they are buried in the Johnson Cemetery.
William T. (born about 1851) married Sarah Ann Matilda Johnson about 1879. They are married and on the 1880 Census with Sarah's mother Mary Johnson.Wm died about 1895.
The children were listed in 1860 Shelby County Texas census with their Grandmother Keziah Pettit and were using the last name of Pettit.I have been unable to find the children on the 1870 census.
I would like any information on this family.Would especially like to know what happened to the parents.
