I haven't had a chance to respond to your post.This Jordan/Pettus thing is very confusing for me.I know that Pettus' came to AL from Lunenburg Co. VA.I am still not convinced that my Jordan's are those that you are referring to. Info that I have , suggests that William Miles Jordan came to Limestone Co. AL from the Memphis area. May have gotten in some trouble and had to leave TN. ?????Do your Jordan' have a connection to Memphis TN?Probably very easy for a teenage boy to get in trouble in Civil War/ Reconstruction South.
