Dear Mary,
I am also researching Pfeils. My husband's Gr. Gr. Aunt Ida Pauline Luise Konradene vonZabiensky b. 27 Feb. 1813 in Herford, Germany or Prussia married a Dr. Pfeil and came to America (I think via Phil.) in the l840's.Also her brother Adolf Ferdinand, b. 9 Feb. 1822 in Enger, came to Phil. in l842.It is noted he came without permission, whatever that means. They were from the nobility and I have the Gotha which shows their lineage back to the l500's.Their parents were:Friedrich Christoph vonZabiensky, b. 27 Nov 1779 Sachen nr. Muschaken, E. Prussia, married 5 Feb 1805 in Herford to Friederike Luise Ahlemann, b. 21 or 24 Nov 1780 in Herford.Friedrich was the Mayor of Enger at one time;also in the Royal Prussian Army, 2nd Lt.
Will keep and eye out for your research and be happy to share any data.
Sincerely, Berta Ranft - [email protected]
