I am researching the soldiers who came to Canada during the French and Indian war and am seeking any info on a Joseph Philibert dit Coutois.
He came to Canada with the regiment of La Sarre (company of Remigny) in 1756, and did not return to France.
Could he be Joseph Philibert, not from Canada – no mention of parents or place of origin - married 10 Nov 1760 at Deschambault to Marie Louise Dutailly?
