NOTE:I have not verified all of this information yet.
I have two 4th great grandfathers, (Rev.) Nathaniel HALL & Fenton HALL, Sr. who had a sister, Sarah Frances HALL (b. ca. 1745, Halifax Co, VA; d. 23 Feb 1814 in SC)who married (1) Elias DeJARNETTE (they had seven children) and (2) Israel PICKENS.Sarah & Israel had four children:
1. Delilah "Dilly" PICKENS m. Unknown BOWEN; 5 children
2. Rebecca PICKENS m. (1) Meredith MOSES & (2) William CROFT [Rebecca & Meredith had one son that I know of -- John Thomas MOSES b. 1828.Rebecca and William had five children:Edward D.; Teresa; Delilah J. Pickens; Elizabeth Brown; and Israel Pickens CROFT.I don't have birth dates for any of these children.]
3. Ellender PICKENS m. Reuben DeJARNETTE, according to the info I have -- IF that's correct, they were half-siblings with Sarah HALL being the mother of both of them.
4.Ezekiel PICKENS (wife Elizabeth named in will -- but I'm not sure this is the same Ezekiel PICKENS -- his sons were listed as Ezekiel (the oldest) & Samuel Bonneau. His daughters were listed as Elizabeth Bonneau PICKENS.These are children of his first marriage.
The children of Ezekiel PICKENS' second marriage were listed as Thomas Jones PICKENS, Andrew Calhoun PICKENS, and Mary Barksdale PICKENS.
Ezekiel's executors were his wife Elizabeth; his brother Col. Andrew PICKENS; his friend, John Caldwell CALHOUN of Abbeville [SC].
Dated:19 May 1813 Proved:13 Sep 1813 Recorded in Book A, p. 16
Can anyone tell me if which Ezekiel wrote this will?I don't think it's this one.
Also, since this Israel's birth date is 24 Aug 1744 and he married Sarah HALL on 11 March 1790 (Pendleton Dist, SC) I think he may have been married before.
Are Col. Andrew PICKENS & General Andrew PICKENS one and the same?
I am not a direct descendant of this family.Sarah HALL was my5th great aunt.
