Andrea:
I have no record of a Niles Pickel or a Mary Scoffield in my data. There is a Mary Scovill (or Scoville) that married a Thomas Pickle, but their children are pretty well documented in the 1830's, and do not include an "Eliza".
My great-grandfather, Jacob Pickle, lived with his family on Scugog Island in the 1830-1860 time period, and died there in 1864. He was married in 1835, and so probably had no connection to Eliza in his immediate family. There is strong evidence that Thomas was Jacob's brother, and also lived on Scugog Island.
I have no info on William or Frank Nolan.
There were several John Pickle's in Ontario in that time frame. Perhaps she was associated with a "John Pickle" different from my supposed great-great-grandfather, who was thought to be a "John Pickle".
