I am seeking information on the later history of Edward Pickles who occupied a parcel of land near Bradford.
Edward was the defendant in a famous lawsuit involving the diversion of groundwater on which a reservoir serving Bradford depended. (Mayor of Bradford vs. Pickles AC 587).
The English census’ for 1881, 1891 and 1901 list him and his family as living there.
In 1901 the household consisted of (with ages): Edward Pickles 36 Louisa C Pickles 35 Edith M Pickles 13 Eleanor M Pickles 11 Olive A C Pickles 9 Kathleen Pickles 7 Dorothy M Pickles 5 Edward Pickles 3
Early in the 20th century he is said to have emigrated to Canada but after 1901 the trail is cold.I would be grateful for any information on his later history.
