Ellery's mind is gone and his wife doesn't know anything, HOWEVER...I have found out some information. A lot of what I previously wrote I find now to be fantasy...I am new to genealogy and am finding that a lot of what ALL of us think we know ends up being fantasy. SO, here are the facts as I now know them De Forest Herbert Pickrel was born in Gridley ILl 19 Oct 1877. His father was Howard Pickrel b. about 1851 in Gridley. His mother was Mary unknown born about 1855 in Gridley. I am told that his mother died and his dad remarried...which is where your information comes in...the step siblings. Evidently Howard stayed in Gridley. Somehow De Forest moved on to Schyler Nebr where he ran a photography studio for about 4 months. He met Lucinda Charlotte Kinsey Boone who was born 27 Aug 1882 in Geneva Nebr. They married on 13 Nov 1901 actually at Grafton, Nebr.
After their marriage, they moved to Imogene, where he ran the meat market with his father. Sometime later they ended up in Emerson, because that is where the kids went to school. They had a house in Emerson until they ended up in rest homes. They are buried in Climax, Iowa. Do you know anything more about Howard and Mary???How about the other family members? No I never met the folks in Red Oak. My aunt Esther lived there and I visited her a lot. Raymond (my step father) was married to Babbitt before he married my mother Jane. Can you tell me who these other people are: posted by Dale on July 11,2001 Montgommery Co. cem book Mrs. Pickrel Evergreen Cem Clarence 1888-1914 Edward Theodore Boone b.10-24-1838 d.4-26-1914 Walnut Cem Jane (kinsey) Boone b. 1847 d. 1915 Walnut Lena B.
