The 1820 Bath Co., Ky census has no Pieratts listed, but it does have a Volentine Pyat.
On the 1830 census there are Henry Piratt and George Piratt, apparently living next to James Goodpaster and Abreham (sic) Goodpaster. There is another, more difficult name to read entry, that looks lke Louie Piratt.
On the 1840 census I found George Pieratt, Henry Pieratt, and James Pieratt.
I mention the foregoing to raise the issue of alternate spellings of the Pieratt name. Has anyone encountered spellings along the lines of Piat/Piatt/Pyatt?
I have a 2nd great uncle who was born in Bath Co., Ky in 1840, and was given the name, John Piatt Ross. I have found citations of a John Ross marrying an Elizabeth Piatt. Any Ross's among the Kentucky Pieratts?
