I have made quite a bit of progress since our last conversation.Fred Piette Sr., according to his death certificate, was born December 15, 1887 in Canada, and died January 13, 1931, in Chicago, IL. The cause of death was Lobar Pneumonia (not an accident). He also had cardiac and Respiratory Insufficiency. Fred Piette's parents were Joseph Piette and "Rose Deyer" (per the death certificate).
It turns out that his mother was actually Rose or Rosida Deguire. Joseph Piette and Rosida Deguire were married in Caledonia, Prescott County, Ontario Canada on 13 Jan 1885.Both Joseph and Rose were born in Quebec. That brother of Fred's listed on the 1900 Chicago census as "Theophus" was actually born Theophile Piette, son of Joseph Piette and Rosida Deguire on Jan 14, 1886 in Caledonia, Prescott, Ontario Canada.
Joseph Piette was the son of François Piette and Marie-Anne (or Marie-Agnes) Villeneuve. You will be happy to know that Joseph had twin sisters, and Joseph's mother, Marie-Anne Villeneuve, was herself a twin.
You are my 7th cousin. We share the same 6th great-grandparents - Antoine Piette and Marie Boucher.
