Eli, the third child and first son of Adam and Mary Eli Pigman, was born in Union Co., Indiana, 8 June 1825, and given his mother's maiden name.He may have been a carpenter like his father but he probably was also a farmer.At 23, in 1848, he married Mary Buckley, with whom he had three children.Mary died in 1852 or 1853, probably from childbirth.On 11 Aug. 1853, Eli married again, finding a mother for his three small children and the future mother of six more, in Rebecca Wilson.They were married by the Rev. John Gilchrist in the home of her parents, Garrett and Harriet Thompson Wilson, in Connerville, Fayette Co., IN.Rebecca was born in Ohio on 17 Feb. 1830.Eli died in Connersville 25 Oct. 1881; Rebecca, 12 June 1914. The three children of Eli and Mary Buckley Pigman were:Charles Jessee, b. 11 July 1849.Mary, b. 29 Jan 1851; d. 4 Aug. 1852.Adam Eli, b. 29 Oct. 1852; d. 25 May 1901. The six children of Eli and Rebecca Wilson Pigman were: John Wilson, b. 28 Oct. 1854. Jessee D. b. 14 June 1856. Garrett b. 6 May 1858. Lurena b. 7 Jan. 1860, m. Ward K. Kerr 23 Dec. 1878. Lurena died 7 May 1941.George Wilson b. 29 Jan. 1865. Anna R. b. 16 Oct. 1871; m. George A. Garrett 25 May 1898. b. 29 Dec. 1876, d. 16 Jan. 1942.
