1850 FC: I had not found John M or his family, but apparently he was listed in Galliton Co, IL according to Pilkinton Fam Gen Forum post # 58.

1870 FC of MUTN: p.243, Dist #4, Culleoka 48/49: Pilkinton, John (M) 33 TN, Nancy (A Adkins) 29 TN, Josephine 12, Margaret 10, Martha 4, Nancy A 9/12 & Smizer, Wm 9 (all ch & Wm b in TN).

12/27/1880 MUTN J(osephine?) E (f) Pilkenton md. J(oseph) A (m)Rittenberry, and W(m) J(ames) md Alice Raines in 1890 Giles Co, TN.
1900 FC of Giles Co, TN list Jimmy & Anny Rittenberry as nephew & neice of "Jim" Pilikinton who was listed as 31 yrs of age. (I can see where anyone could conclude that this "Jim" was the James L listed as 12 in 1880 as son of Wm H Pilkinton & Adaline E/C Hull, but in 1910 this "Jim" is listed in Giles Co, TN as James W 38, and in 1920 as Jim 48.
I have several other references to Pilkinton-Adkins-Young connections near Culleoka.John M Jr & Nancy are prob buried in Bethany (Scribner's Mill) Cem, in MUTN.
Thanks again for all the new info that you & cousin James Pilkinton have provided, more later, Richard.
