I used to live in Wivenhoe and still have family there. I well remember the Rosabelle shed (part of Colne Marine and Yacht Co when I lived there 1964-67) and all the pictures of her and her predecessors. Can you tell me please why Theodore Pim called them Rosabelle? (Rosabelle 1 1875, yawl, built by Harvey in Wivenhoe, Rosabelle 2 and 3 large steam yachts built at Leith)
In 1886 he had the Elfreda built in Wivenhoe by Wilkins. The builder's sixth child was born in 1886 and was called Elfreda; but I suspect she was named after the vessel and not vice verse. Do u happen to know the answer? Was there an Elfreda in the Pim family?

I look forward to hearing from you - thank you
