"Early Members of Forks of Elkhorn Church
(Franklin County, KY)
Fanny, r 1824
(The 1 means that Nancy joined the church before 1800, the r is for returned)
Lewis Pines, Jr., a half brother (brother-in-law?) of William Hall, in his will Spotsylvania County, Virginia, 1787, indicates that his sister Nancy m James Abbett. James was in F (that is Franklin County, KY) 1796, and the records imply that some of their children were: 1 James, Jr., 2, Garnett,3, Peggy Miles 4, Elizabeth Miles, 5, William m Lorena Wade, F 1814. Jonathan Abbett m Nancy Oliver, F 1809 and went to Henry. Fanny Abbett Neal was a stepdaughter of William Hickman.
In Woodford, William Abbit (no understanding why they change the spelling here) m Margaret Campbell, 1798, Maria Abbett m John D. Mitchell and Nancy m Charles Robinson. Robert and Larkin were in Woodford (KY).
Abbott-Charlotte, r 1831
William Abbott lived south of the river, F 1796, and in 1810 had a family of seven. William H. Abbott m Judith Shockley, F 1841."

Scythy Ann, 1847
Martha Brightwell (1772-1856) was the widow of William Brightwell of Spotsylvania County, Virginia. In 1848 she bought land from the Hall family, and her home, "Mt. Lebanon," was on the site of the house until recently occupied by Mrs. John Shryock. Her children were: 1, Scytha Ann (1815-1852): 2, Thomas J., died 1860; 3, , Nancy, m ---Wright and went to Montgomery County, Missouri; 4, William J., m Ann E. Penn, Scott
1840, and lived in Gallatin; 5, Wesley, 6, Huldah. Thomas J. and William J., after the death of their mother, sold the farm in 186- to Levi Crutcher.
Also in the neighborhood were William Brightwell, m. Mary Johnson, and Thomas, m first Ellen Johnson, F (Franklin Co.) 1837, and second, Mary Tyre, W (Woodford Co.) 1852. Waller L. Brightwell m Parmelia Mitchell, W 1821 and went to Platte County, Missouri; Margaret Brightwell m Valora Sample, W 1842
