We are related to Oliver Guppy of Brookfield/Wolfeboro NH who lated moved To Dover NH with wife Betsy Wiggins (Drew) Guppy. I have to check dates but I believe that Thomas B. Guppy resided with Oliver and his family in the 1840 or 1850 census of Dover.I believe Thomas is also listed in early directories.I am trying to find a small note in materials in my care that states that Thomas and Emeline were parents of twins. After a brief period I found no further mention of Emeline. Is there any possiblity that Thomas had native American (Abenaki) heritage? Please go to Ancestry.com to see extensive material/documentation of early NH Guppy family. We have been trying to unravel the mystery of how Thomas and Oliver came to be together.I do not think they were brothers but wonder if they were cousins. Oliver also had a sister, Betsy.Oliver's father was Samuel Guppy and Samuel's father was Joshua Guppy, brother to Capt James of Dover. Both were sons of Joshua Guppy and Margaret (Bacon) Devereaux Guppy of Beverly MA.Oliver's son, Charles H. Guppy was our great, great grandfather. He died in 1932 but our dad, b. 1923, does remember him. There are a large number of descendents of Charles H. Guppy from two separate families, one in MA and the other in ME.
