Two nights ago I stumbled onto the Pinkham line in my research. After finding an AWT file with tons of information and then being pointed to this forum (and reading a lot of the older posts, especially Martin Hollick's), I'm worried I have a bunch of the Pinkham lines criss-crossed and wrong.
To start untangling them, I'm going to get the Sinnott book on the Richard Pinkham genealogy. But my first question is this: does anyone know where I can buy the Genealogical Dictionary of ME & NH? I was told I can get the Pinkham book from Higginson Books -- can I get the dictionary from them as well?
My second question involves my 4th-g-grandmother, Charlotte Pinkham. I'd like to start working my way back with her as she's the first Pinkham in my tree. Until I get the books, I'd like to find out two things:
- Do I have the line from her to Richard-1 correct? - Does anyone have any birth/death information for her?
Here's the line as I have it for her:
- Charlotte Pinkham, m. Abraham Hoxie bef. 1838 - Charlotte's parents were Henry Pinkham and Catherine Jenks - Henry's parents were Matthew Pinkham and Judith Morris - Matthew's parents were Richard Pinkham and Miriam Coffin - Richard's parents were Shubael-1 Pinkham and Abigail Bunker - Shubael-1's parents were Richard-2 Pinkham and Mary Coffin - Richard-2's parents were Richard-1 Pinkham and Gylian ??.
Can anyone confirm that that's correct? I'm not sure which number Richard Matthew's father is and I'm worried I've either duplicated him or have him in the wrong place as well. I got this information from Robert St-Gelias' AWT on ancestry.com but may have made errors in using the information.
