E.T. Pitcock died Thursday morning, June 1, at 3 o'clock at his farm home in the Pleasant HIll community. In the passing of Mr. Pitcock one of Latimer county's earliest pioneers is taken away, he having resided in this vicinity abaout 45 years.He had lived at his home palce since statehood. This Latimer pioneer was a very devoted Christain, having held a membership in the Pleasant Hill Baptist church for years.He was known as part of the foundation structure of the community in which he spent so many years of his life.he served as a memeber of the school board at Pleasant Hill. E.T. Pitcock was married to Miss Emma Josephine Pollard on October 1, 1885? at Cullachaha Indian Territory and three years later they moved to this vicinity.To this union were born five childrenk one of them preceding its father in death.Surviving, besides a devoted wife, are four children, Mrs. Lark Clawson, Ms. J.D. Humphrey and G.D. Pitcock, living here and Mrs. Ozella Chappell, residing in Texas.There are also several grandchildren.Three of the deceased's brother survive, and reside in the state of Missouri. Mr. Pticock came from a family of eight children, and is the fifith to pass on to another world. Funderal services were conducted by Rev. R. W. Lackey at the home Friday, June 2, and interment was in the City cemetery.
