As I was one of the youngest of the youngest generations, my great granddad was William Polk, a civil war soldier. He married your ancestors sister. I have an article from the Arkansas Gazette by Rebecca Jane Baker, Mary Lucindas older sister. They helped bury some of the fallen soldiers, Mary would have been 9 years old. This was abt 1861 in Crawford County Arkansas. All their children were in law enforcement and the oldest son, Jim, your great great uncle I guess was Deputy marshall working with "hanging Judge Parker" The Pitcock family was quite famous around Rudy, Alma and Ft Smith Arkansas and many relatives still live in the area. My Aunts did genealogy research in 1950 so I believe this is where I received some of my data. There was William Anderson Baker born in 1776 maried to Rebecca Edward also born in 1776 both in Tennessee.
