William Crumpler married Equilley A. Williford on 21 Mar 1848 in Nash Co NC but in the 1850 FC Edgecombe Co NC (the part that became Wilson Co NC before 1860) William and sister Martha Crumpler were listed as William and Martha Pitman (unmarried) and Equilley was still in the household of Hartwell Williford (child with no first name in index).
In the 1860 FC William and Aquilla Crumpler were in Wilson Co NC, living near Joyners Depot. Joyners Depot is where Nash Co, Wilson Co and Edgecombe Co NC meet.
I suspect his sister Martha A Crumpler married Augustine Farmer, son of Asael Farmer.
William B Pitman, son of William Pitman who died 1827-1828, did not exist and neither did his sister Mary Ann Pitman. They were the step-children of William Pitman, William Crumpler and Martha Crumpler, children of John Crumpler and Susanna Poland.
