Oh thank you for your message.I have been so busy that I have not worked on looking intenstly for Plachta ancestory. I am always seaching, so yes, let's keep in touch.I am more recently working on my husband's side of the family, Butz,Szostak,Krupa are a few of the names.I am sorry to hear you have not been able to keep up the the Polish traditions.I know a little Polish. On my mom's side, I have family who only speak the Polish language, & that's when I feel inferior. My great Aunt helps me when I get into trouble. We still make pirogie, mostly at holiday time, my kids love them.We also break bread "oplake" on Christmas Eve Dinner. We do try to keep the Polish alive in our home, & our children are upset we never taught them Polish!!My grandparents were born in Poland, & my husband's grandparents.I would like to wish you & your family a wonderful Thanksgiving, & a Blessed and Happy Christmas.I live in Illinois, do you mind telling me where you live.I will celebrate my 59th birthday this December. My husband Ed, is retiring on January 1, 2002, he was 63.He decided not to wait until 65. God bless you and thank you again, Helene.
