According to our Platt family records, it was the Sarah Platt, b. 4 February 16923. daughter of Epenetus, who married Isaac Brush.
The other Sarah, b. abt 1694, was daughter of Jonas Platt (b. 1667), son of Isaac Platt (1633-1694) and it was she who married John Titus.
This Sarah's mother has the surname Scudder ascribed to her but without substantiation. She is not found in any Scudder records. It is possible that she was Sarah Brown, who married Jonathan Scudder, 14 November 1680, in Huntington. But there is no evidence that she married, 2nd, Jonas Platt. If she did, however, she would have been in her 50s at the time of the birth of Jonas' youngest child. Not impossible but unlikely. This further raises the possibility of a 2nd marriage for Jonas.
Isaac and Epenetus were brothers, sons of Richard Platt and Mary Wood, who settled in Milford, Connecticut.Isaac and Epenetus resettled in Huntington as young men and married sisters, Elizabeth and Phebe Wood (not related to Mary Wood).
