Pauline, Are you referring to the Plourde data or yhe the Internet Websites? As to the Plourde data, my mother was a Plourde.I attended the Madawaska Historical Society sponsored Plourde reunion held on July 24-25. 1987.I have a copy of the Plourde Descendants book published for the occasion and have done some independent research. I have been to Fort Kent, Ste-Luce, Frenchville, St Agatha, Madawaska, Edmunston, Riviere-Ouelle, La Pocatiere, etc. I have completed my Miville-Deschenes (the year 2000 family honored by the Madawaska Historical Society) genealogy which has provided insight into many other French-Canadien families originating in Quebec.I have noted that the Francoeur-part of the Leclercs seems to have some Indian connections. There have been very few noted in the Plourde direct line or in the Miville-Deschenes line. I have access to Jette, Tanguay, PRDH, Drouin, Talbot, Rimouski, Langlois, most Repertoires, and other data as well as the Aroostook County and Canadian Census data. I have been using Bulletin Boards, FTP Nets, and the Internet for nearly 20 years.I was involved with the development of the ARPANET inthe early 1970's, the forerunner of the Internet. The bottom line is that I enjoy the challenge offered by indepth genealogical research.
