Hi ! Carolyn, I noticed in a post you did to Scott Pakulski in June of this year that you gave him some information in my grandfather’s, and I am wondering if you can help me ....... I am Paul Southworth Plumer Jr. of Hallowell, Maine. My father (now deceased) is Paul Southworth Plumer Sr. who was a newspaper man in Augusta, Maine. His Father was Dr. Herbert Hall Plumer of Union Maine b. 1874 Bucksport Maine.... His father was Rev. Charles Abraham Plumer, who was a minister at the state prison in Thomaston, Maine. Rev. Plumer is buried close to Thomaston In the town of Damariscotta, Maine. I do not have much information on him.
My father had a genealogy done some tine ago that is off in some places, starting with Rev Charles “Abe”.Dates of birth and time lines are all messed up. I have been looking in New Castle, Maine which is the town next to Damariscotta of course with no luck. and finally found out about New Castle, New Hampshire. That now make sense because the family comes from that general area.
The line my father was given goes like this ; Rev. Charles “Abe” b. New Castle NH, no date, (1839 atrib.. to S. Perley) Rev. Abraham Plumer b. Bucksport, Maine 1809. .. Timothy Plumer b. 1774, moved to Bucksport, Maine no date. (my brother is Timothy, I was told it was a family name, but I can’t be sure)... Jeremiah Plumer b. 1797 in Scarboro, Maine. ... Moses Plumer b. 1723 Rowley (Mass?) lived in Scarboro,, Maine. *Aaron Plumer b. 1692 Newbury (no state) lived in Rowley... *Joseph Plumer b.1761 Newbury , lived in Byfield... Nathanial Plumer. b. 1708 Byfield ....... Joshua Plumer b. 1668 Newbury ...... Samuel Plumer b. 1619 England came over with Francis plumer ...... Finally Francis Plumer
****** note Aaron and Joseph are out of time line I am very new at this and do not know how or where to go to check this information> Can you help me get started where should I go next.....
