Pocahontas would not have been baptised at birth, and as the Indians had no written language her birth would not have been recorded.
Later. at the time of her marriage to John Rolfe she was 'coverted' to christianity and given the baptismal name of Rebecca.
Their son Thomas would have been baptised.
It is unfortunate that the registers would would have confirmed so many early baptisms, marriages and burials is no longer extant.
Dates and relationships have to be gleaned from writings of the period, and wills.
Hence my question as to sources used when 'facts' are posted on the site.
