Hi Wilma, when you say her church, do you mean Pocahantas's church. Do you know the name of the oldest church that way, it might be the oldest church in America maybe somewhere in Hopewell. I went out to Goochland VA. and to Cartersville to see the land. I went past the road to I think it's called Westview for the Bolling side of me or part of me, I think it is called Rock Castle where I should have turned. But anyhow right there , there were three historic road markers, and I was surprised to see where William Bolling opened a school for the deaf and dumb. and my grandmother is like 9 gens from Pocahontas, anyhow my grandmother was deaf and dumb, so I am wondering if that might have run in the family a long the way, I know of a few others in my mothers family with hearing loss and very young. So I was wondering if William Bolling did the school out of a need to help his family memeber and then that need became a calling or passion for him. sure would like to know more about that maybe someday. Thanks for looking up what you mentioned that would be great. I am planning a day trip to a few places soon down near Burmuda Hundred and then to Charles City County, and back to Goochland VA. all pretty close together. Quick question Do you know who The Jackson's were and the Hodges, and Randolphs, just curious, because you seem to know a lot about that area. Thanks, Sandi G.
