Annie Podany was the third child of Frank & Kathrina (Boybrud) Podany.She was born in Bohemia, Czecslovakia. Frank & Kathrina's first child 1. John died as an infant in Bohemia. 2.Their second child was Mary Dell. Mary Dell almost died on the ship on their way to America, but she survived once she got on land. Kathrina prayed that she would live until the reach land for she didn't want her thrown into the ocean. 3. Annie was their third child. 4. Albert 5. Joe (He was ab0ut 15 months old when Kathrina died.)

Frank Podany was married three times. Kathrin only survived a few years in Texas leaving Frank with 6 young children.
Next Frank married Frances Josephine Marak who was a widow with an son Lannie who was from Poland and spoke no English. Her husband died of a heat stroke putting in his first crop in Texas.They were from a cool climate. They had one child Frances Josephine Podany. The mother died of TB when daughter Frances was an infant.
Next Frank married another widow Victoria Irvinski who had three children of her own. She was from Russia. Frank spoke five languages.
Frank did live with a son until his death 101. There is a census listing his age as 100 and he lived a little longer after that.
