I'm sorry but I posted incorrect information above. I have since found the parents of Rudolph to be Joseph and Sabina(sp?) Polansky of Weldzirz, Galicia, Austria. Joseph first came to the U. S. in 1905 or 1906. He later went back to Austria and returned to Ellis Island, New York on 19 June 1912 aboard the ship, Kroonland, from Antwerp, Belgium.Listed as being 40 years old (obviously older because Rudolf was born in 1888), 5' 7" tall, fair complected, with dark hair and blue eyes. His wife, Sabina, was still in Austria.A niece was traveling with him who was listed as a servant. Her name was Pauline Rozewirz, 17 years old.She was also going to Waterbury, Connecticut, presumably to live and keep house for Josef. Although living in Austria they were listed as Polish and later Galicia did become a part of Poland again. Joseph eventually went back to Austria. Sabina never came to America.
Rudolph was born 10 July 1888 in Weldzirz, Galicia, Austria. He died November 1968 in Springfield, Hampden, MA. His wife was Genevieve "Jennie" Kucharski, born 19 Jan 1894 in Dolina, Poland. She died Apr 1976 in Springfield, Hampden, MA. Rudolph and Jennie married Jan 1917. They only had two children; Stasia, the oldest, born in Boston (living), and Joseph, born 1919 and died 1920. Rudolph arrived at Ellis Island on 26 January 1910 on the ship, Finland, from the port of Antwerp, Belgium. He listed his residence as Weldzirz, Galicia, Austria. His destination was 198 Maple Street, Waterbury, Connecticut, where his father lived. He was listed as 5' 6" tall, fair complected, with blond hair and blue eyes.He had $20 in his possession.
He later went back to Austria for a visit and returned 30 October 1911 aboard the ship, Prinz Friedrich Wilhelm, from the port of Bremen, Germany. He listed his residence as Newark, New Jersey. He had $24 in his possession.
In 1920 he was working as a cook in a restaurant in Boston.
Sorry for the error on the parents and siblings.
