DNA Results
The DNA results are very interesting, and certainly help to clear up some of the misconceptions that were rife in early genealogies, but this isn't ever really going to help us cross the pond, is it?
I mean, since the Polloks are an armigerous "clan" only, and have no recognized head, we have no way of knowing which of the DNA profiles match the original "Pollok of Pollok" family (if any).
The family died out in the male line of those who inherited the land and titles, and while there were other sons along the way, the fates and posterity of those are unknown - or at least unproven.
I'm assuming that if it were any easy task to trace them, the title would not be vacant.
