My cousin Bob Hanscom and I have been researching the surnames Tauber/Teschner from Leipnik, Vag Besztercze, Trenscin areas in Austro-Hungary.My grandmother, Stella Tauber Solomon, 1/8/1894-4/8/1987, was born in Trenscin.We have located several intersects with the Pollak surname.There was a Guttl Tauber, 12/11/1799 in Leipnik, who married an Isaac Wolf Pollak and they had a daughter, Rosa Pollak, b. 3/9/1827 in Leipnik.We also have located in the Leipnik records at the Mormon libraries (records that are extremely hard to decipher), a Lea Tauber, b. about 1773, who married a Jacob Pollak.Other connections with the Pollak surname are a Joseph Pollak, b. Podhrad, who married a Hani Tauber, b. 1813, and they had four children, Paulina Pollak, b. 8/1834, Moritz Pollak, b. 1/21/1837. Nanetti Pollak, b. 8/4/1841, and Fani Pollak, b. 12/27/1843. There was a Jacob Tauber, b. 3/11/1811 in Weisskirchen, Moravia and died abt. 1895, who, on 7/28/1831, married a Josephina Pepi Pollack of Kravare, Austro-Hungary, and they had eight children, born between 1832-1850.The link continues.Moses Kohn, b. 1811 in Vag Besztercze, Austro-Hungary, married Mari Pollak, b. 1814, and they had 5 children.Any links to your research?
