I am a Polston researcher beginning with the Polstons of north-east Arkansas in the 1830 Census.
There are some who suspect that the Susannah Polston (widowed?) of that census may be Susannah (Dollins) Polston.
Susannah's Census info is: U.S. Census of 1830 Arkansas Territory, Lawrence County Polston, Susannah (30-40 yrs.) with; 1 male (under 5 yrs.) 2 females (under 10 yrs.) 1 male (10-15 yrs.) 1 male (15-20 yrs.) 1 male (20-30 yrs.)
It is my belief that the male (10-15 yrs.) is my John P. Polston. He is, in a later census, shown to have been born in Tennessee. Also, the oldest male (20-30 yrs.) falls within the possibilities of of a marriage starting in 1798.
Have you ,in your research, ever found any indication that Thomas and Susannah ever emigrated towards Tennessee?
