I am so sorry that I did not see your message sooner. I do not have any particular testing of our DNA for genealogy purposes. BUT - I do not know if this matters or not because I don't know that much about DNA - I had a DNA study to see if I am a carrier of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy that included my Living Brother, Sister & Parents & both of my then children & myself Bloods for the study... Do you know if I can find the information we need from those genetic studies? If so, I think I can trace the medical records back for that time period & get copies of the paperwork they sent to me back then as the paperwork has long been lost & the testing was about 20 years ago. Actually just a few months over 20 years but the Blood was sent to Texas to a genetics lab there for testing. The paperwork I received was as thick as a book.
As you can see, I AM Very Interested in exchanging information. :) I am excited that this post got your attention.
Most of my information for this line of my Pool/Poole's came from Maureene Poole, the wife of Benny Paul Poole. They are elderly & in bad health so it was hard for her to share the information in full format. All of her stuff is in the form of written records since their last computer crash & her health prevents her from entering all of it back into the computer. I think it was her Son she said found some of it on the web & She sent me copies of it, but the lines were incomplete & I am having to make sure I source everything so I don't have to erase lines later - well, you know how it is - I have learned that sourcing is the key to making sure I don't have incorrect lines or mixed up lines in the tree. My First "Middleton" is Middleton Poole, Sr was born 14 May 1778 & died 16 March 1861. I am working with another Genealogist that has a large Pool/Poole-Brooks line & much of the stuff that we both have is the same, although he has more resources and/or knowledge than me so has a much more complete & Beautiful Tree on Ancestry.com than mine is. Many of my Pool/Poole pictures came from him & some gravesite pictures I took myself for both of us in the La Grange, GA area. I helped supply some of the information for the Walker Harris Pool line of his Tree. Walker Harris Poole is my Great Grandfather & Both of his names Walker & Harris BOTH reflect his Ancestry as his Great-grandmother's maiden name is Walker & his Mother's Maiden name is Harris - Walker Harris Pool. I have found though that the Walker & Harris Surnames Often married into Pool/Poole lines. Do you see any of those trends in your tree? I have neglected my research lately, but you will likely see a new posting from me by tonight because I have seen that Ancestry is offering much information to me... If it is from good sources & not just other family trees, then I will let you know what I find out. As for the areas, I am finding many of the same areas in my research. I have tried to make a New Jersey connection because a Branch off my Pool/Poole line - Higginbotham - seems to have migrated into the States in the New Jersey Port & eventually ended up in GA married to my Grandfather... I do know that my Grandfather's Siblings ended up all living in different areas of the US & did not have much physical contact because of the distance but kept in touch well....
Please feel free to Email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org & I will send you an invitation to my Ancestry Tree. I will also introduce you over Ancestry to Michael Brooks if you have not had the pleasure of meeting him yet, as long as you both would like to meet. He may have more vital information than me, maybe even the correct DNA Testing... I look forward to hearing from you. Again, i am very excited about this & hope to be able to make a connection here. I can to find where our line is part of the Pettipoole Line or any of the others I have come across except for Michael Brooks & the connection to his line is positive... Sincerely excited to hear from you, Tina Poole (Stella C. Poole)
