Bev Albert!I am so glad to find your new address. You are certainly the most helpful Poorman researcher who has ever helped me.It has been about 10 years since we last emailed.
I am a member of DAR now.I want to submit the name of Peter Poorman (Jr. in Lancaster Co, Londonderry, but Sr. in Westmoreland Co, PA)
However, I still need more definite proofs to link my Peter of Westmoreland (after 1800) to the Lancaster/Dauphin Co. families.
The wills and deeds and census of Westmoreland have helped me to build family groups and linkage from 1800 after the death of Peter, Sr.
Have you heard from anyone with additional information since I last "talked" to you?
A Marion Whitehurst joined the DAR on the service (donations to the military)of Peter, Sr.However she did not have any proofs to link my Peter Jr. to him.
My line is:Mary Ellen Poorman, dau > Jacob Poorman, Blacksmith & farmer and Elizabeth of Westmoreland, buried at Youngstown, Lutheran Church, PA >Peter Poorman, Blacksmith of Derry, Westmoreland ---------------- >Peter Poorman, Sr. of Lancaster Co., PA
