Porterfield 1780-1861 and Rutha Campbell 1783-1878. James J.'s parents were James Porterfield 1747-1811 and Jane Alburn "Jenny" Lockhart 1747-1816. James parents were John Porterfield 1724-1786 and his mother's name is unknown. John's parents were John Porterfield 1675-1739 and his mother's name is unknown. John's parents were William Porterfield 1645-1728 and his mother's name is unknown.
