Lisa, I would really like to communicate with you about Henry Clay Poss.You mention his grave at the Baptist church in Eastville.He also has a grave at the First Baptist Church in Bogart.I have pictures of his grave marker and his CSA grave marker. Grave marker :"IN MEMORY OF MY HUSBAND H.C.POSS SEPT 8, 1843 MAY 29, 1906" The CSA marker: 3 SERG HENRY C. POSS CO C 44 GA VOLS CSA SEP 8 1843 MAY 29 1906
There is also a T.M. Poss born Sept 24, 1866 a Marzee Hamilton, wife of T.M. Poss buried in the same plot.
My greatgrandmother, Emma Brewer was raised by a Henry C. Poss in Oconee county.Her mother Sarah Brewer married Henry C. Poss at some point. They were together in the 1880 census.
