Dilmond-
Will spare you the sleepless nights trying to figure out how Lukens fit in with the Postlethwaites. They don't.My interest is purely "academic," so to speak. My own family lines have reached a solid brick wall, and I frequently work on things for other people for the pure fun of it, like working logic problems (which I also love to do!)I frequently get sidetracked, which is how I began working on Postlethwaites.I was helping someone with Duncans in Jefferson Co., and that led me to the marriage of Coleman Duncan to Ann Postlethwaite.I went looking for bible records to see if I could find children for this family, and have not been able to find anything conclusive. In the meantime, in the course of sorting out bits of information, I learn a lot of Kentucky history. All the early families seem to touch upon each other and it is interesting to see exactly how.
I have found that by working on lines other than my own, my skills improve and I learn all sorts of new things. You don't mind, do you?I've actually moved on and am more actively working on Stephens lines for my next door neighbor, who is computer illiterate.
