Yes, you are quite right you did send me the descendant list for the Samuel and Elizabeth Poston family. Please forgive me for my lack of response to you. The only excuse I have is that I am not aging gracefully. I did menopause early and have been plagued with migraines and other physical problems the past two or three years. I am doing better right now. Who knows how long that will last.
I checked my e-mails and found the previous mentioned descendant list and where I responded to you and Martha about Hugh Poston being married to Rosa Lang.
As for the Samuel Poston I speak of in the 1800 census for Marlboro District, he is located on Roll: 50, Page: 159, Image: 115. The transcriber at ancestry.com has him as Parton, Samuel, but if you have access and look it is really Poston--it is very clear. This Samuel is not the same as the Samuel that married Elizabeth Colman.
I have no idea as to where the myth that they migrated from Pennsylvania comes in. I can not even connect the above Samuel except that Marlboro County is so close to Chesterfield County from where my John Poston is from.
I want to thank you for your time and please forgive my delays from the past and if any happen in the future. My health is the only reason for these delays.
