Only a year to the day for followup! How timely is that?
The records are certainly slim. Those of us with the courage to assemble these records are either foolish or abnormally noble. In either event the efforts are futile.
Having said that, I know that a Robert Poyner of Tennesee begat several children, at least one of them went directly to Arkansas, apparently. That would be the branch from which I eventually and one hopes reluctantly sprang.
The last Poyner in my line was Eva Viola. I know so little about her. She was my grandfather's mother, and a good cook, from what I was told. That's about it.
Good luck in your quest, have fun and always wonder about the lives of the people you encounter in name only.
