Obituary from the Modesto Bee, March 2, 1942, p. 5 (Stanislaus County, California): DOROTHY ANN PRAHL IS CALLED BY DEATH
Mrs. Dorothy Ann Prahl, 67, who had operated a rooming house at 1207 Tenth Street for the past year, died there last evening. Born in Topeka, Kans., October 25, 1874, Mrs. Prahl came to Modesto a little more than five years ago. She was the mother of Mrs. William Rae of Newman, Mrs. Ned Maher of Brookings, S. D., Mrs. Leo Thiel of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. George Bell of Hudson, Wyo., Mrs. Frances Hubbard of Harlowton, Mont., Charlie Slaymaker of Great Falls, Mont., and Robert Prahl of Las Vegas, Nev. She was a sister of Mrs. Hannah Bayless of Topeka, Kans., and William Wallace of Ashland, Ore. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Moore Funeral Home.
