Sharon, can't say for sure but the census info appears to say that you are correct. In 1860, Jas. Pritchett had children B.F. Pritchett male age 5, M.E. Pritchett female age 3 and Martha age 2.
1870 shows P. Pritchett (Parmelia) age 38 with children Benjamin, age 16, Mary age 15, Martha age 13, William age 11, Elijah age 7, Samuel age 8, Eliza age 4 Stratton age 3 and an un-named infant male one month old.Appears that James Pritchett was enumerated with an older Pritchett couple, W. Pritchet and Nancy Pritchet, who are about 30 house numbers away from Parmelia. This could be James parents.
In 1880, James Pritchett age 49 and Pamelia Pritchett age 47 together with children Willie-age 20, Lemuel (Samuel?) age 19, Elijah-age 17, Strother (Stratton?) age 13, Eliza age 12, Lee (have a note saying possibly Robert Lee) age 10, Simon (note saying possibly Simon Peter) age 7, Maggie age 9, Ephram age 4.
Also, there was a James Pritchett born in Albemarle 1882 or 1883 that we believe is also son of James and Parmelia on the above census.
The 1860 and 1870 census info is from the Fredrickville district of Albemarle Co and the 1880 info was from Rivanna district of Albemarle.I believe this is from district line changes rather than actual moving from place to place.
I understand there may be some will information available in Albemarle also although we haven't searched the court house there.I caution you that if you are searching more on the older James Pritchett above, we found he had a cousin, also James Pritchett, also in Albemarle and very close to the same age.Hope this helps!
