Concerning Daniel PROSSER (c1794–b1881), son of John PROSSER (c1767-c1853) and Anna Haynes (c1774-c1857), I have the following information.
Daniel PROSSER was born circa 1794 in Florida town, Montgomery Co., NY.He died before 1881 in the Township of Amelisbugh, Prince Edward Co., Ontario, Canada.Danielmarried Marcia HAYNES (c1795-a1881), his 1st cousin once removed, in 1818, Western town, Oneida Co., NY.Later in the year of 1818, Daniel with his wife, Marcia, his brother George PROSSER (1793-1827) & wife Anna HARTEN, and his brother John PROSSER (1796-1852), all moved to Upper Canada (now Ontario, Canada) near the Bay of Quinte and the village of Napanee.Daniel and his wife, Marcia, settled in the Township of Ameliasburgh, Prince Edward Co., Upper Canada; George and his wife, Anna, settled in the Township of Camden East, Addington Co., Upper Canada; and John PROSSER found work on Josiah WILLOUGHBY’s farm in the Township of Richmond, Lennox Co., Upper Canada.It is here, on the Willoughby farm, that John met and married his wife, Sarah WILLOUGHBY, daughter of Josiah WILLOUGHBY and Susannah THOMPSON, in 1820.John PROSSER and Sarah WILLOUGHBY are my great-great-grandparents.
I have not been able to find any children for Daniel PROSSER and his wife Marcia HAYNES.I do have copies of Daniel’s 'War of 1812' records, as well as photograph of him taken about 1850 when he was living in the Township of Ameliasburgh, Prince Edward Co., Canada West.
I have extensive data on all the descendants of John PROSSER (1767-1853) and Anna HAYNES (1744-1857).If you are interested, I am willing to share.
A final note.The John Prosser (?-1714) line of Westerly, RI and the John Prosser (c1767-c1853) line of Wales are two separate and unrelated lines.
