The information I have on the Prothro family comes from my great Aunt Mabel, who researched back to Evan in order to join the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1948.It traces part of the lineage through Nathaniel. Zilpah Morgan b. 1770 d. 1831 married 1831 daughter Rachael Prothro b. 2-20-1798 d. 6-4-1871 m John Corbett 3rd b. 5-23-1784 d. 7-29-1848 Rachael was his 2nd wife daughter Zilpah Corbett b. 4-15-1816 d. 7-26-1896 m. Rufus Cephas Salley b. 4-11-1815 d. 8-20-1895 married 5-10-1837 daughter Jane Rebecca Salley b. 10-8-1841 d. 4-16-1905 m Dr. Thomas Jefferson Pou b. 4-5-1825 d. 9-22-1903 married 2-1859 daughter Zilpah Salley Pou b. 7-12-1861 d. 5-30-1915 m Joseph David McCormick b. 9-1859 d. 1-14-1932 married 2-5-1889 Orangeburg Co., SC Zilpah was first married to Newton Sistrunk and had one son, Newton Sistrunk. Zilpah and Joseph David McCormick had Mabel, Lillian, Elliott (my grandfather), Benjamin, Ethel, and Nellie. Hope this helps a little.
