The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, September 12, 1907

In the presence of the relatives and a small company of friends, Rev. Nathan Evans spoke the words which joined in life's bonds MISS IDA M. BEEM, of this city, and JOHN W. PURINTON, of York, Nebraska. The ceremony occurred at the
home of the bride's mother, in southwest Chariton, at 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 11, 1907. It was an informal affair, simple and impressive. MISS MAGGIE BEEM played the wedding march and MISS ANNA BEEM sang "I Love Thee Truly, Dear." After the ceremony and congratulations the company sat down to a most bountiful wedding breakfast, and a merry feast it proved to be.

The bride is so well known in Chariton, her home, that it is unnecessary to elaborate on the event. Suffice it to say she will be greatly missed in the home, church and social circles. The groom is a prominent attorney of York,
Nebraska, and is highly spoken of by those who know him. They departed on No. 3 the same day and after a short stop over with friends on their way will be "at home" in York after October 1. The groom's brother and sister, from Eutica, Nebraska, were the only out of town guests.
